They cover foreign policy, free trade, the repeal of the corn laws, war, colonial policy, education , and social reform. They were written by Richard Cobden, John Bright, Thomas Tooke, Joseph Hume, W.J. Fox, Milner Gibson, and William Molesworth. They were edited by Francis W. Hirst.
