Editorial
To begin with the obvious, this magazine was conceived at the Ninth Street Center. It sprang from a desire to have a gay publication with a new point of view, not chiefly political, not simply fun-loving. What else is there? There is the inner life of the gay person, his ups and downs, love affairs, personal successes and failures. Reader beware, we're talking about the psychological!
Thank you for braving on into this paragraph. We know what a boring, dirty word psychology can be. We think we can get into the subject without being glum or resorting to highfalutin mambo jumbo. This is going to be neither Psychoanalytic Review nor Psychology Today. And further, it won't be a potpourri of gay pornography.
We just want to give gay people something to read, maybe something to think about, and hopefully some entertainment. We hope you enjoy the first issue.
